Norma

I’ve shot with Saffron a lot and I’m grateful for her time ; never a bad shoot, hard to pick my favourite, but as I go back through them then this one makes me smile. It was a great day, Paul was lighting and my wife had joined us with our Old English Sheepdog, only a couple of months old at the time.

The light was fantastic and the beach empty. We did some dramatic stuff with dramatic skies but Saffron, a Monroe fan, wanted something with the feel of a famous photo shoot. Marilyn on a beach but not the classic swimsuit, a wool pullover, relaxed and playful for the camera.

When we’re set a mood, its hard not to just try and replicate the photos, but I don’t think we did ; I think we captured the feel and maybe, just a little bit of Marilyn
